JMR Gets In A Pickle, Kenji at Woodward Gallery

Earlier this year, pickle lovers everywhere shed a tear when the Lower East Side landmark Guss’ Pickles shuttered its door for the last time. The website Bowery Boogie reports that a hand-rolled cigar shop is scheduled to take its place within a matter of days (though from a peak inside the windows, weeks appears more likely), so hurry down if you want to check out the JMR adorned windows.

If you do make it to the area, be sure to check out Kenji Nakayama’s Brooklyn, on view at the Woodward Gallery Project Space (132A Eldridge Street), just a few short blocks away. Kenji’s handcut, multilayred stencils are always mindblowing, so it’s good to see his work in New York.
