On The Run Books and From Here To Fame Publishing recently added two more not-to-miss tomes to their already impressive library: GHOST – RIS Crew and Sabe – FYS Crew. This book series, established by From Here to Fame Publishing, provides important snapshots of graffiti history, urban art, and legends in the making. A variety of urban culture-related topics are explored, ranging from the work of an individual artist to crews, themes and events, including: SENTO, LOGAN, CUBABRAZIL, PART ONE, SMASH 137, NEW YORK CITY, GRAFFITI TATTOO, THE EXCHANGE, and JEPSY.

Here at The Street Spot we have had a lot to be thankful for this Thanksgiving, and in particular I feel honored to have shot the photo used for the cover of GHOST – RIS Crew. But moving beyond the cover, this book really does justice to an artist known for his unique style and longevity in the game, with writing by KET, photos dating all the way back to 1978, and insightful commentary from GHOST himself. And as a ‘thanks’ to our loyal readers, we would like to offer you the opportunity to win your own copy of this book. Just drop me an e-mail at becki@robotswillkill.com telling me who you think should have their own From Here To Fame book next. Each e-mail address will be entered once into a drawing, and the winner will be announced one week from today.

Now go eat some turkey and have a Happy Thanksgiving!

Notes From The Underground

It’s time to get back to work (already), but I hope that all of you enjoyed the long weekend just as much as I did. Here are a few shots of what I got up to:
