This past Saturday, July 31st, marked the second Electric Windows public art and music celebration in Beacon, NY (organized by Open Space Gallery and Burlock Home). The weather couldn’t have been more perfect or the vibe more laidback. Artists from near and far joined residents and visitors in making Main Street the place to be. I look forward to revisiting Beacon soon to view the installed windows in all their glory, but for now, here are a few more impressions from the weekend:

Back in 2008, Open Space Gallery hosted the first installation of Electric Windows, a day of live painting, music, local food and fun, in Beacon, NY. The lineup of artists included favorites from both the street art and graffiti world such as Cycle, Pink, Ron English, Elbow Toe, Michael DeFeo, and Chris Stain. This year’s group of artists is an impressive mix of returning & new faces, many of whom I look forward to seeing in action for the first time!
