After a long absence, MOMO returns to Brooklyn with a solo show at Greenpoint’s M. Carter Shop, a space the artist called home until 2010. The show features wooden sculptures, watercolors, and drawings. A zine will be available as well as a limited number of hats, bags, and shirts designed by MOMO for M. Carter.

Cassius Fouler at Pandemic Gallery

I went back to Pandemic Gallery this past weekend for a closer look at Cassius Fouler’s solo exhibition, Painting is the Curse of the Drinking Class – I recommend you do the same. The artist’s newest body of work marries his signature letters, characters and symbols with dense swaths of color. The show will be up for about a month – due to irregular gallery hours, I’d also advise making an appointment with pandemicgallery@gmail.com prior to heading over to the Navy Yard. The gallery has posted an overview of available works.

Noh J Coley – In the Midst of Living

Noh J Coley In the Midst of Living

Having closely followed Noh J Coley‘s development as an artist over the last few years, I couldn’t be happier that his first solo show opens this Friday at Weldon Arts. I don’t want to give away too much and spoil the surprise, but I will say this: Noh J does not disappoint, delivering a room full of exquisite, framed drawings alongside several large sculptural installations. Do not miss!
