Last night was a fun night filled with art, music, tattoos, video games, and even some Cirque du Soleil-esque contortionism. No, it wasn’t just another night at a hipster bar in Williamsburg, this was “The Community Serviced”, a show curated by Andrew H. Shirley which featured 12 uniquely produced Showpaper newspaper boxes designed by 24 artists. After the opening night, the works will be placed around the city to serve the community both as public art pieces as well as an expansion of Showpaper’s distribution network of their bi-monthly publication.
Here’s hoping that they last long enough!
Tonight Pandemic Gallery is celebrating the opening of their new show, curated by Shai Dahanan of the Abztract Artist Collective. Work from 12 of Abztract’s Featured Artists will be displayed on skateboard decks and wood panels.
