Stikman cut a wide swathe through Brooklyn lately, leaving a trail of new cut-outs and stickers…
I don’t get down to my former hometown of Philadelphia nearly often enough, so I jumped at the opportunity to take in Stikman’s … in the house solo show, organized by Vandalog’s RJ Rushmore and hosted by the city’s Mural Arts Program. From the looks of Stikman’s latest sticker series, you’d think his shamanic stick figure had been around the block a lot longer than the twenty years he celebrated last year. Walking around the vicinity of Williamsburg’s Pandemic Gallery, where Stikman recently had a show, I recently discovered a couple of new and amusing wheatpastes.
